Jaime signs on for ‘The Spirit’ - 2007-11-07
Jaime King has joined the cast of Frank Miller's ‘The Spirit’. The action-adventure film, based on Will Eisner's 40s comic series, tells the story of a masked vigilante who returns from the dead to fight crime. The ensemble cast features Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, Sand Sarefm, Samuel L. Jackson, and Paz Vega. Jaime will perform portray the phantom siren Lorelei. Filming started on October 09 in New Mexico, with a release date scheduled for January 16, 2008.

Jaime King started a crazy race from FedEx truck to FedEx truck, fearing her engagement ring had been misplaced. The actress created the ring’s design alongside her husband-to-be Kyle Newman and waited patiently for the sparkler to arrive at their house. But King missed the delivery that was expected for the day before a romantic vacation because the doorbell was broke. Jaime tells InStyle Weddings magazine, "Somehow we missed the FedEx truck, and I freaked out. I wanted to go on the vacation engaged, with my ring! So I got in the car, and I stopped two FedEx trucks, saying, `Do you have my ring?' "It was like a scene out of a romantic comedy, with me literally chasing down trucks!"

Jaime King will join the cast of new comedy “Riding the Pine”, according to reports. The movie also features Justin Chatwin (War of the Worlds) and Matthew Long (Ghost Rider). The plot of the film revolves around two brothers, one of whom has a terminal disease, who set out on the open road to show the ill sibling something he’ll want to see before he ascends.
